DOVER - Donald "Don" W. Witmer passed away, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Witmer was born February 20, 1933, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Donald B. Witmer and Katherine Martin Witmer.
He served four years in the United States Air Force then the reserves following that. Mr. Witmer worked Civil Service at the Dover Air Force Base and retired after 20 years in Civil Engineering. After retiring he was a contractor for Chesapeake Utilities. He was a member of the Wyoming Methodist Church and the Dover Lions Club. Mr. Witmer enjoyed traveling, motor homing, wood working and was a hockey fan among all other sports.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Audrey A. Wolsterman Witmer.
He is survived by his sons, Donald K. Witmer and his wife Terri of Magnolia and Troy D. Witmer and his husband Tom of Middletown; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" R. Witmer of Boise, Idaho; brother, William F. Witmer of The Villages, Fla.; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Rhodes and her husband Keith and Timothy Witmer.
Services will be private.
