LEWES - Donald F. Jefferson, Jr. passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
Donald was born in Lewes, the son of the late Donald F., Sr. and Anna Jane (Dickerson) Jefferson. He was a graduate of Lewes High School Class of 1964. He was certified through the Quaker City School of Aeronautics in Airplane mechanics.
He served in the National Guard.
He was owner and operator of Don Jefferson Builders.
He was an avid reader, golfer and fisherman as well as an award winning trap shooter having won multiple state championships as well as the Grand American Championship. He loved spending time with his family and friends giving advice and telling stories.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Kimberly Jefferson of Milton; four grandchildren, Mikala, Skyler and his wife, Katelyn (Ellingsworth) Butler, Tristin and Luke; and one great-grandchild, Aubree Butler.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front Street, Milton. Lite fare will be provided and casual dress is requested.
