Dolphis 'Dave' Clouette, 77

MILFORD - Dolphis "Dave" Clouette, of Milford, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, in the Elsmere Veterans Administration Hospital. He was 77.

Mr. Clouette was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Sagamore, Mass., to the late Patrick Clouette and Viola Morris Clouette.

Mr. Clouette was a flight engineer and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired in 1963 as a master sergeant after 27 years.

After retiring he worked as a private contractor, installing flooring for Lowe's and Binders in Dover.

His family and church were the hub of his life.

Mr. Clouette was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Camden.

Mr. Clouette was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sagamore and the Seargeants Association.

Mr. Clouette is survived by his wife, Sharon Clouette of Milford; two sons, Wayne Eric Gainer and Sam Shah, both of Milford; two daughters, Swati Shah of Milford and Tammy Hamill of Newark; three sisters, Brenda Stenquist and Greta Silvia, both of Sagamore, and Sonia Cantrell of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; five grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Elizabeth, Mindy and Sagar; and two great-grandchildren, Maria and Hussein.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Southside Baptist Church, 4904 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, where friends may call at 10 a.m.

Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
