DOVER, Del. - Dauphine Wharton Palenski passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the family home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on January 11, 1932 and resided the remainder of her life in Dover.
She graduated from Dover High School in 1950 and started her career at the State Board of Health. She married in 1958 to Ed Palenski, who worked as a Civil Engineer for the State Highway Department. She ended her career shortly afterwards to devote her time raising their two children.
Her joy in life was her family and friends, especially her beloved son Ed and twin sister Mary.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Dauphin and Marie Wharton; her husband; her daughter, Ann Marvel; and her sister, Margaret Wharton Gesek.
She is survived by son, Ed Palenski Jr.; her sister, Mary Sugrue of Bothell, Washington; and her numerous devoted nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
