Daniel W. 'Dan the Man' Harvey, 56

DOVER - Daniel W. "Dan the Man" Harvey of Dover died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at his home. He was 56.

Daniel was born July 14, 1951, in Dover, son of Ethel L. Harvey and the late John A. Harvey Sr.

He was a carpenter/painter perfectionist who loved to restore historical homes.

He also loved the beach, fishing, taking photographs and working in his yard.

Danny was preceded in death by his father and best friend, John A. Harvey Sr.; and a brother, William "Bill" Harvey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon M. Harvey of Dover, whom he lovingly referred to as "Fuzzball"; his mother, Ethel L. Harvey of Dover; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel "Buzzy" and Donald Moore of Dover and Bonnie and Walter Kulhanek of Florida; two brothers, John A. Harvey Jr. and his companion Judy Harloff of Dover and Francis Harvey and his wife Ruth of Magnolia; a daughter, Michelle England, her husband, George, and their three children, George, Joshua and Jayson, all of Lewes; two stepsons, William R. Moore of Magnolia and Brandon J. Moore and his fiancée, Kristeena M. Burger, both of Dover; two aunts, Helen Daniels and Irene Harvey, both of Dover; several nieces and nephews; and a very good friend, Fred Harrison.

A viewing will be from 6 to 8 Monday evening at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where a memorial service will immediately follow.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Calvary Community Center Fund at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901.
