Daniel Norris Lynch, 49

LEWES - Daniel Norris Lynch, of Lewes, died suddenly on Thursday, May 8, 2008, in his residence. He was 49.

He was born Aug. 23, 1958, in Washington, son of the late John T. and Clare (Norris) Lynch.

Mr. Lynch formerly played drums professionally in the D.C. area for various rock and roll groups.

He also had worked as a chef at the prestigious resorts of Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., and the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla.

He loved good food and good music. He loved his family dearly.

Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife, JoAnn Risk Lynch; daughter, Maureen Lynch of Lewes; five sisters, Debbie, Ann Marie, Clare, Mary Jo and Colleen; and four brothers, John, Dennis, Brendan, and Terry.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Edmond's Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel streets, Rehoboth Beach.

Rev. James E. Downs will be the celebrant. Interment will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation, 111 Michigan Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20010.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
