Daniel DeFelice

LAUREL - Daniel "Danny" DeFelice passed away on Oct. 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Seaford, he is the son of Paul and the late Mary Kathleen DeFelice.
Danny graduated from Delmar High School, and was an exceptionally talented athlete during his high school career. After high school, he proudly joined the Army National Guard. Danny was retired from the E. I. Dupont Company in Seaford, where he was a supervisor for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and being with his family. He was a wonderful father, devoted husband, and his father Paul was a man that he truly loved and respected. Danny was a former member of Seaford Golf & Country Club, and enjoyed working part time in the pro-shop.
Danny is survived by his wife, Nancy Moore DeFelice of Laurel; his son, Scott DeFelice and his wife Vanessa; step daughter, Sondra Lathbury; grandchildren, Danielle DeFelice, Jayden DeFelice, Jewell DeFelice, and Sophia DeFelice; brothers, Darren DeFelice and his wife Kristin, and Rick DeFelice and his wife Gail; brothers-in-law, Walter Moore and his wife JoAnn, and Raymond Moore and his wife Barbara; and his sister-in-law, Doris Ross. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. A viewing will also be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Pastor Wayne Parsons will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
