Daniel Boone Lilly Sr., 68

SMYRNA - Daniel Boone Lilly Sr., of Smyrna, passed away Thursday Jan. 15, 2009, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. He was 68. Mr. Lilly was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Spanishburg, W.Va., the son of the late Royal A. and Mildred Moye Lilly. He worked as a self-employed painter. Mr. Lilly enjoyed tinkering on cars, mowing grass and collecting antiques. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Norton Lilly; five children, Denise Evans of Georgia, Carole Lilly of Dover, Dawn Lilly of Clayton, James Lilly of Wilmington, and Daniel Lilly Jr. of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be Monday Jan. 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway New Castle. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
