HARTLY - Cristi Gingerich, of Hartly, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010. She was 30. She was born Dec. 6, 1979, in Dover, to Gary Larimore and Norma Marlow. Cristi was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna for the past 3 years. She enjoyed reading, eating Sushi, going crabbing and yard sales but especially spending time with her children. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Marlow; step grandfather, Melvin Burris; and her stepdaughter, Alexis Gingerich. Cristi is survived by her husband of 1 year, Jason Gingerich of Hartly; her daughters, Kassidy and Emily Schaffner of Hartly; her mother, Norma Burris and Jimmy Myers of Camden; brothers, Sonny Burris of Hartly, Joshua Burris and his fiancé Tara Price of Dover; stepfather, Gene Burris and his wife Niesha of Goldsboro, Md.; her father, Gary Larimore and his wife Stacey and their children, Dillain, Cameron and Taylor Larimore; her grandfather, Louis Marlow of Havana, N.D., and Robert and Rose Larimore of Camden; her step-grandmother, Christine Burris of Marydel, Md.; her in-laws, Raymond and Rebecca Gingerich of Dover; her best friend, Mandi Thompson of Marydel; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be noon, Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Cristi Gingerich Memorial Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 7 S. Main Street, Smyrna, DE 19977, for her children's education. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
