DOVER - Colleen B. Daniel, age 66, of Dover, died December 30, 2015 at Bay Health Medical Center in Dover. Born in San Francisco, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Denise Mathewson Bendick. Mrs. Daniel was a dedicated loving wife, and amazing mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of others. She had served as a Girl Scout Leader for over 16 years and a volunteer on behalf of Mom's House in Dover. Mrs. Daniel had been employed with the U.S. Government beginning in 1971 and retired after 33 years in 2004. She won several Gold Medals in her retirement in the Senior Olympics and in her quieter moments could be found Sewing. She was an active member of Holy Cross Church in Dover and was one of those individuals who made a positive difference in this world. She will be truly missed by the many people who knew and loved her. Mrs. Daniel leaves her loving husband, Paul J. Daniel of Dover; and her dedicated daughter, Maureen E. Fura and husband, Ryan, of Miami, Fla. Also survived by two grandsons, Sawyer N. Fura and Dylan Brandt Fura; and her birth granddaughter, Mary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, on February 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
