MILFORD - Christine P. Adams of the Heritage in Milford, formerly of Murrells Inlet, S.C., died Thursday, March 15, 2007, in The Milford Center, Genesis Eldercare. She was 89.
Mrs. Adams was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Wyoming, Del., daughter of the late Alda J. and Beatrice (Crossmore) Powell.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Adams was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed camping, gardening and traveling. She traveled through 44 of the continental United States.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Adams in 1969.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Maj. Gen. Albert W. Adams, Delaware National Guard, Ret.; seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Albert W. Jr. and Judy Adams of Slaughter Beach, DE; Brig. Gen. James Adams, Delaware National Guard, Retired of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., David and Kenna Adams of Harrington, Dr. Jeff and Carol Adams of North Myrtle Beach, Bill and Patti Adams of Dagsboro, Dr. Dan and Pat Adams of Tucson, Ariz., Spike and Susan Adams of Frederica; a daughter and a son-in-law, Cathy and Jeff Tillman of Kissimmee, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Albert III and Deanna Adams, Julie Adams and Fred Wagner, James Adams, Edward Adams, Dana Adams Sipple, Kelly Adams and Kevin Sipple, Lt. Cmdr. Michael Adams and his wife, Lt. Sr. Grade Becky Adams, Susan Adams Redmond and her husband Shane, Amy Adams, Scott Adams and his wife Hillary, Andrea Adams Davis, Zac Adams, Hilary Adams and Don Prouse, Jared Tillman and Ethan Tillman; 17 great-grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Instead of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of choice.
