Charmaine Elizabeth Coverdale Hicks, 42

DOVER - Charmaine Elizabeth Coverdale Hicks of Dover departed this life Monday, May 28, 2007, in Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. She was 42.

Mrs. Hicks was born on Sept. 11, 1964, in Greenwood, the daughter of the late Marilee D. Wynn, also of Greenwood.

She was a 1982 graduate of Dover High School.

Mrs. Hicks enjoyed traveling, home making and spending time with children. She was truly a wife, sister and a friend who will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband, Isaiah Hicks of Frederica; grandmother, Sarah Bethards of Millsboro; father, Charles Bethards of Georgetown; six brothers, Carlton Wynn of Dover, Walter Coverdale and sister-in-law, Margaret Coverdale of Cheswold, Calvin Harris and Tony Harris, both of North Carolina, Eric Washington of South Carolina and Derrick Washington of Australia; two sisters, Elaine Wynn Dolley and Evelyn Washington, both of North Carolina; a special friend, Ernestine Abrams, also referred to as sister-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Minus Funeral Home, 222 N. Queen St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior to service.
