Charles Edward Stapleford, 64

FREDERICA - Charles Edward Stapleford of Frederica died Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 64.

He was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Philadelphia, son of the late Marshall and Ruth (Morris) Stapleford.

Mr. Stapleford served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He was a self-employed carpenter and had mastered many skills including drafting, home building and cabinet making.

Mr. Stapleford enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Priscilla Stapleford; three children, Scott Stapleford and his wife Barbara of Lincoln, Suzanne Bullard and her husband Kenneth of Provo, Utah, and Christopher Stapleford of Frederica; two sisters, Suzanne S. Maybee and her husband Joseph of Milford, and Barbara; five grandchildren, Tabitha Stapleford, Eli Stapleford, Bethany Stapleford, Chelsea Stapleford and Aiden Stapleford; and an extended family of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 110 South Lucky Estates Drive, Harrington, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the church.

Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
