Charles E. Lister, 88
CAMDEN - Charles E. Lister, passed away on October 1, 2009. He was 88. He was born on the family farm in Denton, Md. on November 25, 1920 and was actively engaged in farming until moving to Camden in 1958. In 1963 he began a thirty year career with the First National Bank of Wyoming. He and his wife Jean celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last February. Charlie was an accomplished amateur carpenter and over the years remodeled or renovated many areas of their home in Camden where they have resided for 48 years. Those who knew him will attest that his next friend was the next person with whom he engaged in conversation. Charlie could strike up a conversation with almost anyone. In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John and Pat; daughter Charlotte; brother Paul and three generations of nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, John E. and Della Greenlee Lister; his sisters Margaret, Elizabeth, and Kate and their respective husbands Eldon Marine, Alfred Maynard and Bill Finn; sisters-in-law Eva Lister and Margaret Saunders; brothers-in-law Dem Dawson and Bill Dawson; stepdaughter Deborah Kesselring; and son-in-law Frank Cranston. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5 at 1 p.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, where friends may call beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden immediately after the service.
