Charles D. Scarborough

FELTON - Charles D. Scarborough, Sr. passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at home.
Mr. Scarborough was born Feb. 7, 1937 in Lancaster, Pa. to the late Charles Mohler and Frances Scarborough.
He retired from the United States Army after 20 years as a Sgt. 1st Class. Mr. Scarborough was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2. He enjoyed coin collecting and took great pride and care of his yard. He also volunteered at the DAFB at the Family Readiness Center.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Scarborough, 2015.
He is survived by son, Charles Scarborough, Jr. (Tina) of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughters, Sheree Nguyen of Felton, Cindy Scarborough-Murray (Daniel) of Virginia Beach, Va. and Lisa Piccolo (Jim Black) of Newburg, Pa.; grandchildren, Christopher Scarborough, Dominco Piccolo, Michael Nguyen, Brittni Scarborough and Charles Scarborough, III; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Gionni, Hannah and Christian. He is also survived by his sister, Louise Gilgore of Lancaster, Pa.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (RT.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
