ORLANDO, Fla. - Charles Albert Demby Jr. of Orlando died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at his residence. He was 62.
Mr. Demby was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Queen Anne"s County, Md., son of the late Charles A. Demby Sr. and Frances (Elliott) Demby.
Mr. Demby resided in Florida for the past seven years, prior to moving he spent his life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Mr. Demby was a member of the Moudania Missionary Church in Orlando.
His hobbies included making and selling picnic tables and benches, cooking, watching TV and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Demby was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Lee Demby; two sisters, Anna Hackett and Helen Freeman; and one brother, Richard Demby.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Demby of Orlando; four sisters, Doris E. Demby of Millington, Md., Elsie E. Brown of Chestertown, Md., Lena P. Demby of Chestertown, Md., and Charlotte A. Richardson of Dover, Del.; two brothers-in-law, Tyrone J. Brown of Chestertown, and Oliver Richardson of Dover; one stepdaughter, Tahara Thompson of Orlando; two step-grandchildren, Donya Butler and Tera Dickerson, both of Orlando; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Pleasant Church in Pondtown, Md., where friends may call two hours prior.
Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pondtown.
Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 370 W. Cypress St. Millington.
