BETTERTON, Md. - Catherine Wade, of Betterton, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in Chestertown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chestertown. She was 77.

Mrs. Wade was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Baldwin, Ga., daughter of the late Sam and Fannie Watkins Vinson.

In 1963 her family moved to Delaware, where she raised her family and in 1995 they moved to Kent County, Md.

She attended the Fellowship Church, Lynch.

She enjoyed fishing, crafts, traveling, working in her vegetable garden and, in her younger years, going to car races.

Mrs. Wade loved being with her family and going to church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roy J. Wade in 1998; a son, Danny Wade; and a great-grandson, Richie C. Harvey III.

Mrs. Wade is survived by two daughters, Diane Dunkelberger and Dorothy Moore and her husband Allan, all of Betterton; a sister, Dolly York of Mt. Airy, Ga.; five grandchildren, Richie Harvey Sr., Sandra Cartwright, Kristy Wade, Jeff Moore and Tracy Moore; and six great-grandchildren, including Nicole Harvey, Cody Pointer and Hunter Moore.

A graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Still Pond Cemetery, Still Pond, with the Rev. Lisa Usilton officiating
