HARRINGTON - Catherine Dill of Harrington died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 88.
She was born in Felton to the late Charles and Anne Warren. She was 88.
Mrs. Dill worked as a homemaker who diligently took care of her family.
She worked various jobs in the past, including in various restaurants and a jewelry store, but was mainly a homemaker.
Mrs. Dill was an avid reader with romance novels being her favorite.
She enjoyed listening to country music and singing.
Mrs. Dill also loved to cook, with fried chicken and chicken and dumplings her specialty.
Mrs. Dill will be remembered as a great provider for her family. She loved her children dearly and devoted her life to them.
She will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Warren.
Mrs. Dill is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Roy D. Dill of Viola and Daniel and Sheila Dill of Dover; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy L. Dill of Harrington, Sylvia and Dick Lander of Harrington, and Lisa and Jim DeBruine of Cassapolis, Mich.; her sisters, Louise Hurd of Viola, and Beulah Mae Simpson of Harrington; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a very close and personal longtime friend, Mary Massey.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
