LEWES - Catherine "Kay" Colletta of Lewes passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her three daughters.
Mrs. Colletta was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Trenton, N.J.
She was employed for 30 years by Philadelphia National Bank, now known as Wachovia, retiring as a vice president.
While working for PNB, she was an active member of the Lions Club in Delaware County, Pa. After moving to the Lewes area, she volunteered at the All Saints Thrift Store. At the time of her death, she was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Millsboro, and a member of St. Edmond"s Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach.
Mrs. Colletta thoroughly enjoyed making cookies and giving them as gifts to her many friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank J. Colletta in 2000; and her two brothers, Phil and Frank.
She is survived by her three daughters and three sons-in-law, Angela C. and Michael Paraskewich of Wilmington, Kathy C. and Ron Krajewski of Rehoboth Beach, and Joanne C. and Scott Reihm of Lewes; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Catherine Paraskewich, Michelle and Dan Elliott, Ron and Kate Krajewski, Grace and Albert Cosenza, Angela Cahill, Joe Cahill, Jennifer Reihm and Cortney Reihm; five great-grandchildren, Catherine Grace Paraskewich, Michaela Elliott and Micah Elliott, Sarah Catherine Krajewski and Elizabeth Marie Krajewski; and a sister-in-law, Ida of Pennsylvania.
A committal service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. The Rev. Patrick Betts of Crossroad Community Church will officiate.
Burial will follow the service.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroad Community Church Building Fund, 7 U.S. 13, Bridgeville, DE 19933; or Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
