SMYRNA - Carroll L. Johnson, Jr. "Lee" passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2022.
Mr. Johnson was born June 23, 1944, in Dover, Delaware to the late Carroll L. Johnson, Sr. and Bertha Reaune Johnson. He had attended high school in Pennsylvania.
He worked for 32 years at the Delaware City Refinery, retiring in 1999. Mr. Johnson was a member of the NRA and an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed NASCAR and Monday night football. Mr. Johnson also like to walk his dog, Missy and cutting the grass. He will be remembered for his ability to tell a good joke and his silly sense of humor. Mr. Johnson was a great husband, father, and friend.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas "Tom" and William "Bill" Johnson; and sister, Etta Winters.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah L. Johnson; daughters, Lisa James (Derek) and Brandi Dougherty (AJ); grandchildren, Amber Alkanavski (David), Paul James, Sarah James (Ryan), Kyle James (Cryslynn), Ian James, Jillynne "Jill", Aryanna and Mason Dougherty; great grandchildren, Elodie Vigo and Wyatt James; brothers, Robert "Bob" Johnson (Grace) and James "Jim" Johnson. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Mr. Johnson's last wishes were not to have any service, remember him as he was!
