Carlton Roy Gatts, 87
DOVER - Carlton Roy Gatts passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at Delaware Hospice in Milford.
He was born October 24, 1934, in Kent, Ohio, to the late Roy Albert Gatts and Ruth H. Mains.
Roy served 22 years in the United States Air Force, Veteran of the Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He was an active member of the American Legion, Fox Post #2, for over 50 years. There he met many people over the years, who became close friends with him throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a talented mechanic. He will be missed dearly by many.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cheryl Lee Gatts of Dover; children, Colton Gatts of Harbeson, Darryl Gatts of Dover, Dale Gatts of Daytona Beach, FL, Debbie Avino of Long Island, NY, and Diane Voshell of Dover; sisters, Ruth Fernandez of Chardon, OH; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, 2928 Sharon Hill Road, Dover, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to be made to American Legion, Fox Post #2, 835 S. Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901.
