DOVER - Carlton Edward King, of Dover, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 75.

He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Rising Sun, to Walter Preston and Elmira Thompson King.

Edward was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran.

After his Navy service he went to work with George & Lynch as a heavy equipment operator.

He worked with Dr. Mersky at Dover Animal Hospital.

When he retired he worked at Faulknes Store at Pearson Corner part time.

He is preceded in death by a son, Gary Fowler; and a daughter, Faith Frank.

He is survived by wife, Flora Gertrude King of Dover; two sons, Ronald L Fowler of Harrington and Douglas C Fowler of Felton; three daughters, Sue Forrest of Hartly, Connie Y. Daniels of Dover and Carlon King; brother, Wayne King of Dover; sister, Mary Louise Lyons of Dover; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Remembrance services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to The Dover Elks Lodge, Dover.
