Carlos V. 'Miss D' Dlugoborski, 85
ROCK HALL, Md. - Carlos V. "Miss D" Dlugoborski, of Rock Hall, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. She was 85.
Mrs. Dlugoborski was born July 27, 1922, to the late Thomas H. and Mary (McFarland) Bottomley.
She was born and raised in Queen Anne's County and in 1943, after her marriage, she moved to Rock Hall.
Miss D worked as a teacher's aide at Rock Hall Elementary School for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
Her memberships included the Maryland Teacher's Association, Kent County Teacher's Association and St. John's Catholic Church.
She loved to bake.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bennie Dlugoborski in 1988; and two sisters, Charlotte Brown and Margaret Skinner.
She is survived by a son, Bennie R. Dlugoborski of Wilmington; a brother, Thomas Donald Bottomley and his wife Peggy of Chestertown; a sister-in-law, Blanche Dlugoborski of Rock Hall; nieces and nephews, Frank and Alex Dlugoborski, Harriett Creighton, Kenny and Mary Ann Bottomley, Kevin Bottomley, Dawn Walsh and Carole Faye Simmons; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. John's Catholic Church, Rock Hall, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Rock Hall.
