Bruce W. Courtney, 60
Bruce W. Courtney passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 8-10-21 after a courageous battle with ALS.
Bruce was born in Camden, DE on October 19, 1960.
He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1978, He joined the NAVY in 1980. After 20 years of service, he retired in San Diego.
Bruce loved to travel, garden, and spent many years umpiring, coaching and watching his boys play baseball. Bruce is survived by his wife, Lori; their 3 sons, Wesley, Danny and Brandon Courtney of San Diego; his sister, Terri (Courtney) and husband Keith Seeley and niece Courtney Rollins of Camden, DE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Joan Courtney; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Bruce held an unwavering faith in God which he openly shared with friends and family.
His service will be 8-25-21, 4 p.m. at Community Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bruce's name to ALS (www.alsasd.org) or Community Lutheran (www.clcfamily.org)
