DOVER - Brian William Wasko, Sr. passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Wasko was born September 15, 1950, in New York, New York to the late John A. Wasko and Gertrude Kipp Wasko.
He served in the United States Air Force for 36 years retiring as CMSgt. Mr. Wasko received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College.
Mr. Wasko was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover, the Masonic Union Lodge #7, and a life member of the Dover Fire Department. He enjoyed watching New York Yankees baseball. Restoration and acquisition of planes mostly for the American Legion for display at the Air Force Museum. Mr. Wasko was the voice of Dover High School Football for over 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 ½ years, Linda Cartrette Wasko of Dover; children, Amy Morris and her husband Michael of Dover, Brian Wasko, Jr. and his wife Shelley of Concord, NC; brother, Donald Wasko and his wife Brenda of Sebastian, Fl; grandchildren, Laney and Aubrey Wasko, Carson, Sarah, Elizabeth and Cameron Morris; and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, November 21, 2022, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Interment will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or the Parkinson Foundation.
