Brenda Sue Duff Layton

SALISBURY - Brenda Sue Duff Layton passed away April 14, 2014 at her home in Salisbury with her family and friends by her side. Brenda was born in Stoney Fork, Kentucky on March 31, 1955 and was the daughter of the late John H. and Media Brock Duff. Brenda is survived by her husband, William Roger Layton; a son, John E. Boyles and wife Tammy; two stepchildren, Dale Layton and wife Patty, Katrina Benz and husband Jeffrey; four grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn Boyles, Jonathan Boyles, Laurs Boyles, and Kirsten Ewing; five step-grandchildren, Stephanie Sturges, Christopher Sturges, Crystal Layton, Connor Layton, and DeAnna Shaneor; a great-grandchild, Caleb Dufresne; a niece, several nephews; a sister, Beulah Dickinson and husband Ben; two brothers, Hobert Duff and wife Brenda and James Duff and wife Thirley; a good friend, Debbie Thomas; and her dog, Jingles. Preceding her in death besides her parents were here maternal grandparents, James and Amanda Brock and her paternal grandparents, Will and Ersie Duff; and a sister, Bonnie Saunders. She was a 1973 graduate of North Dorchester High School and worked at Airpax for nineteen years, but most recently worked at LWRC in Cambridge. Brenda enjoyed camping, traveling with her sister, working in her yard, spending time with friends and her dog, Jingles. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Sandra Mills and Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in East New Market Cemetery. James Duff, Hobert Duff, Ben Dickinson, Dale Layton, John Boyles, Earl Taylor and Jeff Benz will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations in memory of Brenda may be made to Coastal Hospice. P.O.
