Brenda received her education in the Indian River School District.

She was employed by Hardee"s in Georgetown.

In addition to her family, Brenda was loved by many friends.

Her favorite word often used was "spontaneous," and her favorite pastime was spent sharing her love with her family and grandchildren.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Minnie Hallett of Millsboro; a special friend of 13 years, Donnell Cornish of Georgetown; five children, Vincent Lewis Jr. of Millsboro, Patricia Lewis of Selbyville, Craig Lewis (Melissa) of Felton, and Marvin Smith Jr. and Latricia Smith, both of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four sisters, Brenette Lewis Rich of Delmar, Annette Hallett Bailey of Georgetown, Diane Lewis of Salisbury, Md., and Geraldine Lewis of South Carolina; five brothers, Brantley (Juanita) Lewis of Georgetown, George Hallett of Millsboro, William Lewis and John Lewis, both of Salisbury, and Danny Lewis of Wilmington; two uncles, John Hallett of Bishopville, Md., and Ernest Hallett of Frankford; three aunts, Gloria Hallett of Brooklyn, N.Y., Audrey Hallett of Bishopville, and Alberta Harp of Milford; a special cousin, Sylvester Dixon of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Camp.

The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to everyone for their prayers, support of visitation, phone calls, contributions and all other acts of kindness shown during their time of bereavement.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Calvary Pentecostal Church, Bishopville, where friends may call one hour earlier. Pastor Rosie M. Hall will officiate.
