Blanche M. Voorhees

DENTON, Md. - Blanche M. Voorhees passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton.
Born in Hopewell, N.J., Mrs. Voorhees was the daughter of the late Asa Reed Hill and Clara Leigh Hill. Her husband, Edgar S. Voorhees, died Jan. 15, 1998.
Mrs. Voorhees graduated in 1941 from the Central High School in Hopewell, N.J. She and her husband moved to Denton in 1959 from Pennington, N.J. They were dairy farmers until they retired in 1993.
Mrs. Voorhees is survived by three sons, Robert E. Voorhees and his wife, Carol of Houston, James H. Voorhees of Kennedyville, Md., and Dean R. Voorhees of Denton; and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Voorhees was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Cheryl L. Voorhees.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at the Ridgely Church of the Brethren where friends may visit with the family one hour prior. The interment will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, in the Highland Cemetery in Hopewell, N.J.
