Billie Ralph Lewis, 76

TOWNSEND - Billie Ralph Lewis, of Townsend, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2008. He was 76.

Billie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne 88th Division.

He worked as a master carpenter for various companies before retiring.

Billie enjoyed fishing, watching golf, crossword puzzle books, his dogs, Wawa coffee and spending time with his grandchildren.

Billie is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty; sons, Bill Lewis and wife Kathy, Brian Lewis and wife Joyce and Bob Lewis and wife Cassandra; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Spencer; and daughter, Ellen.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday at Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2800 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, followed by a memorial service in celebration of Billie's life at noon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
