LEWES - Betty Lou "Betty Lou" Calvert Thornberg, of Lewes, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. She was 74. She is survived by two sons, Mitchell W. Thornberg and his wife Robin, and Clinton D. Thornberg and his wife Diane; one daughter, Linda Lee Little and her husband Don; one sister, Dottie Eye and her husband Jackie; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, including Judy and Ray DiGiovanni; and her beloved canine companion, "Winnie." A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Robert Hudson will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Sussex County S.P.C.A., 326 South DuPont Hwy., Georgetown, DE 19947.
