FELTON - Benjamin Scott Parker passed away at the much too early age of 19 on Jan. 7, 2014 after a brief illness. Ben was born Feb. 18, 1994 in Salinas, Cali., beloved son of Debbie Hicks and Jody Parker. Even though Ben was born with pulmonary atresia, it was his desire to live his life to the fullest and did he ever live. He attended elementary school in Salinas and Las Vegas, then 5th grade at Lake Forest Central Elementary. He returned to Las Vegas and then moved to Bakersfield, Cali., where he graduated from Liberty High School. At the time of his death, he was attending California State University, Bakersfield. Ben was raised in Salinas then Las Vegas until he was 10, when he decided he wanted to move to Delaware to live with his father, whom he adored. While in Delaware, he thrived and loved being a typical 10 year old. He loved to read, ride his 4-wheeler, hang out with his cousin Brent but most of all just spend time with his father. Ben left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even though he only attended one year at LF Central, he made many friends and endeared himself to his teachers. While Ben may not have been in his Delaware family's lives physically, he was always in everyone's hearts. He was and always will be loved. Ben leaves to cherish his memory his father and step-mother, Jody and Tracey Parker; his mother, Debbie Hicks; brothers, Kristofer Parker, Raymond and Cody Botto and sister Carissa Sandate. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone he touched while living in Felton. Services will be private. Rest in Peace and tranquility dear son.
