Barry Wayne Hall Sr.

DELAWARE CITY - Barry Wayne Hall Sr. (Pop), of Hartly, departed this earth on Jan. 2, 2011. He was 59. Born June 13, 1951 in Delaware City, to the late Herbert T. Hall and Louise R. Hall. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Gary Hall; the love of his life for over 30 years his wife, Cheryl Lynn Hall. Barry and Cheryl were madly in love and were a beautiful arrangement by God. He dreamed of the day they would be reunited and that day has arrived. Now they walk among the Angels together. Barry was a mechanic for Fleetwood Auto Sales of Dover for 28 years. He loved Bruce Lee and John Wayne movies. He also had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Barry was a man of mans with a limited education he still provided for his family and lived his days working hard. He is survived by two sons, Barry W. Hall Jr. and his girlfriend Dawn Cox of Magnolia, Douglas L. Hall Sr. and his life partner, Lymaine Saunders of Hartly; seven grandchildren, Doug Jr., Justin, Faith, Chelsea, Tyler, Alexis and Nathan all of Hartly, they were his life and always were his first thoughts; daughter in-law, Rebecca Hall of Hartly whom he loved and adored; three brothers and two sisters, Kerry and Nancy Hall of Bridgeville, Terry and June Hall of Hartly, Larry and Michelle Hall of Townsend; Geraldine Dean and her companion; brother in-law, Lionel Thompson of Magnolia; Kathy and Bill Campbell of Cheswold; five adopted sons who he always thought highly of, Derron J. Harris and his wife Tabatha of Dover, Roger C. Barlow Jr. and his wife Robin of Dover, Zequette D. Harris and his wife Jennifer of Smyrna, Irvin J. Jones of North Carolina, and Stacey M. Henry Jr. of Woodside; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and Bernard Reds Bruner who he cherished as a father. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Burial will be private. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
