RIDGLEY, Md. - Anthony "Tony" Philip Thomas died March 3, 2011 at his home in Ridgley. He was 44. He was born on June 28, 1966, the son of Philip N. Thomas Jr. and his wife Melissa Lynn and the son of Anna "Anni" Rapant Thomas all of Rock Hal. Mr. Thomas was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown, Pa., and raised in Rock Hall. He married Dawn Coleman on June 13, 1991 they lived in Rock Hall until recently moving to Ridgley. Tony loved his wife, Dawn, and his whole family. He loved looking for old bottles, arrowheads, and rocks from all over the world. He was educated in Rock Hall where he had numerous friends. Tony was an "old soul" with a kind and loving heart. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, John Edward Elburn III and his partner Jeffrey Cesari of Philadelphia, Pa., and James "Jamie" T. Elburn and his wife Allie of Rock Hall; his brother, Christopher "Chris" Thomas of Rock Hal; his sister, Emily Thomas of Rock Hall; grandchildren, Colby and Jonah Elburn; aunts and uncles, Gerry and Nora LeGendre of Spring Mt., Pa., David H. Thomas and Stanley F. Thomas both of West Virginia, Steven A. Thomas of Rock Hall; as well as cousins, Leanne, Margaret, John Henry, Erick, Heather, Carissa, Stephanie, and Jenny; several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Also survived by a niece, Jasmine Marie Thomas; and a nephew, Shane Matthew Boyle-Thomas; and very close friend, Thomas D. Glenn. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Rock Hall United Methodist Church in Rock Hall, where relatives and friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Kent County P.O.
