Anthony E. Goldsboro

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Anthony E. "Tony" Goldsboro passed away at The Miriam Hospital on Thursday, Jun. 29, 2017, after a long illness. Tony was born on Mar. 24, 1961, in Dover to Charles and Gladys Wilson.
He received his early education in the Dover School System before his family moved to Rhode Island, where he attended Mt. Pleasant High School in Providence, graduating in 1979. While attending high school, Tony was employed by Hospital Trust Bank in Providence, where he continued his employment for several years after graduation. Tony was later employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Conn. for a short time before eventually returning to the financial industry, where he was last employed by the American Express Corporation before illness forced his departure.
He is survived by a devoted life partner, Michael Perry of Providence, R.I.; parents, Charles and Gladys Wilson of Dover; sisters, Sharon Lynch and Beverly Goldsboro both of Dover; brothers, Harry Goldsboro (Eunice) of New Castle and Glendon Goldsboro, Sr. of Providence, R.I.; and an array of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jul. 7, 2017, at the Chapel of Evan W. Smith Funeral Services, 518 S. Bay Rd., Dover. Viewing 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with formal Homegoing Service to follow. Interment Private.
