Anne Bragdon Smith

MIDDLETOWN - Anne Bragdon Smith, 96, a longtime resident of Middletown, died on Sept. 14, 2011, at Westminster Village in Dover where she lived since 2001 until her recent passing. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Middletown and Christ Episcopal Church, Dover. She was an early, enthusiastic supporter of the Middletown Senior Center in Middletown and spent many happy hours playing bridge with her friends both there and at Modern Maturity in Dover. Survivors include a nephew, Richard Hanson Bragdon Jr. of San Rafael, Calif.; and niece, Joanne Bragdon Kauflin of Telluride, Colo.; and three grand nephews and nieces, Christopher Hanson, Kristin Elizabeth, and Dustin William Kauflin. Services will be held at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 115 E. Green Street, Middletown, on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Old St. Annes Cemetery.
