FREDERICA - Annabel Postles of Frederica passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 95.
Mrs. Postles was born Jan. 5, 1913, in Milford, daughter of the late Warren M. and Leona (Langrell) Baker.
She was a homemaker most of her life, but did hold a part-time job for several years as a seamstress at the sewing factory in Harrington, and worked with her husband on their dairy farm.
Mrs. Postles loved creating crafts of various kinds and working with flowers.
She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making her famous homemade dish clothes for family and friends, watching hummingbirds and was a great cook.
Mrs. Postles was a life member of the Felton Fire Co. Auxiliary and a member of Lebanon Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence T. Postles, in 1965; a son, Lewis J. Postles; a daughter, Barbara Ann Postles; two brothers, Langrell Baker and George Baker; and a sister, Violet Baker.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Dill of Felton; 11 grandchildren, Roland Wainwright and his wife Shannon, Dana Wainwright and his fiancé Renee Lins, Thomas Postles, Lewis Postles, Terry Dotson and her husband Randy, Cheryl Jones and her husband Charles, Allan Dill and his wife Cheryl, Larry Dill, Lynn May, Randy Dill and his wife Janice and Robin Dill and her companion Karen; eight great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and Joan Bennett, whom she raised like one of her own daughters, and her husband Dan.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be held in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Felton Fire Co. Auxiliary, P.O. Box 157, Felton, DE 19943.
