Anna Rosalee Glenn, 81

ROCK HALL, Md. - Anna Rosalee Glenn of Rock Hall died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 81.

She was born in Baltimore on Sept. 27, 1926, daughter of the late Clifton Morris and Lillian (Leaverton) Smith.

Mrs. Glenn and her family moved to Rock Hall and she graduated from Rock Hall High School with the class of 1942.

On May 10, 1947, she married Edgar Glenn of Rock Hall, where she raised her family.

Mrs. Glenn was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a devoted community volunteer.

She was a member of Rock Hall United Methodist Church, the We Care Program which she assisted with and ran for many years, a member of Gideon's Auxiliary, and the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Glenn also taught Sunday school for more than 30 years.

She loved feeding and watching the birds.

A daughter, Joyce Faye Glenn, predeceased her in 2005.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by two sons, Thomas "Tommy" E. and his wife Pamela Glenn of Dagsboro, Del., and Robert "Knobby" C. and his wife Rebecca Glenn of Rock Hall; five grandchildren, Thomas E. Jr. and Leslie Glenn, Jason W. and Corrine Glenn, R. Andrew Glenn, Valerie D. Glenn, and Cindy and Jim Lawrence; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today in Rock Hall United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Rock Hall.
