Anna Louise Moore, 92 DOVER - Anna Louise Moore, 92, of Dover, died Sat. Nov. 14, 2009, in her home. Mrs. Moore was born Sept. 11, 1917, in Dover, the daughter of the late William and Anna Boyd Masten. She was a homemaker. Together with her husband they raised their five children on the family farm which is now Moore's Meadows. She was a member of the People's United Church of Christ for 50 years, as well as a member of the Women's Fellowship. Mrs. Moore was also a member of the Delaware Farm Bureau and strong supporter of Kent County 4-H. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and the love she gave to the family and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph P. Moore in 1998, one sister and two brothers. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Anna Johnson in 2002, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Moore is survived by a son, Joseph Kenneth Moore and his wife Josie of Dover; a son-in-law, Dickie Johnson of Dover; three daughters, Josie Strong and her friend Dick Yerger of Dover, Connie Starkey and her husband Louis of Felton, and Debbie Jack and her husband Rusty of Frederica; 11 grandchildren, two step grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind a loving and dedicated caregiver, Betty Starkey of Felton. Remembrance Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the People's United Church of Christ, 46 South Bradford Street, Dover. Friends and family my call two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Garden of the Word in the Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. The family suggests contributions to The People's United Church of Christ 46 South Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19901; or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702-B Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
