Anna E. (Miskell) Eigenbrode, 84
DENTON, Md. - Anna E. (Miskell) Eigenbrode of Denton died Sunday, April 15, 2007, in Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. She was 84.
Mrs. Eigenbrode was born in Buckeystown, the daughter of the late Fairfax Minor Miskell and Genevieve Maggie Stallings Miskell.
In 1945, Mrs. Eigenbrode moved to Denton with her husband and they started farming.
She was a homemaker and farmer"s wife.
She was a member of the Caroline County Farm Bureau, the United Methodist Women of Concord Church, and volunteered for the American Cancer Society fund drives.
During the elections, she served at the polling places in Caroline County as an election judge for the Republican Party.
Her husband, Russell A. Eigenbrode, died Feb. 9, 2005. They had been married for 63 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bertrand P. Miskell, Luther M. Miskell, and Charles D. Miskell; and one sister, Katherine E. Mohr.
Mrs. Eigenbrode is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Eigenbrode and his wife, Linda of Denton and Thomas R. Eigenbrode of Dover, Del.; three daughters, Betty Ann Armenio and her husband, George of Southfield, Mich., Kathy L. Ghory and her husband, Bill of Delray Beach, Fla., and Linda E. Blann and her husband, Phil of Cordova; two stepsons, David Eigenbrode and his wife, Nancy of Frederick, Ray Lee Eigenbrode and his wife, Thelma of Sheperdstown, W.Va.; and one stepdaughter, Mary Lou Boyer and her husband, Ronald of Boonesboro; three brothers, Jesse L. Miskell of Dargan, Richard F. Miskell of Westminster and William C. Miskell of Damascus; three sisters, Madora L. Athey of Frederick, Md., Virginia M. Campbell of Charles Town, W.Va. and Mary M. Pearl of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Concord United Methodist Church on Federalsburg Highway, Denton. Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St. in Denton, and also from 10-11 a.m. Thursday before the service at the church.
The interment will be in the Concord Church cemetery.
