Anna Belle Porter, 79

ELLENDALE - Anna Belle Porter of Ellendale died Sunday, April 29, 2007, in her home. She was 79.

Mrs. Porter was born June 7, 1927, in Bridgeville, daughter of the late Harley Robert and Bertha Bell Rogers.

She has worked as a seamstress at Milford Stitching and a waitress at Mildred's Kountry Kitchen in Ellendale.

She enjoyed doing macramé making pocketbooks.

Mrs. Porter was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6984 in Milton and Harrington Moose Ladies Chapter 1229.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson A. Porter; a daughter, Bertha Lee Enfield; and nine siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Herman E. Willey of Ellendale and James Emerson Enfield Sr. of Maryland; five grandchildren, William E. Willey, James E. Enfield Jr., Lee A. Willey, Robert James Enfield and Malynda J. Mullins; eight great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; her companion, William Truitt of Ellendale; a sister-in-law, Ethel Rogers of Ellendale; a niece, Linda Collison; and other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Fleischauer Funeral Home, West Market Street, Greenwood, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Oakley Cemetery.
