Ann Woodland Notaro DOVER, DE - Ann Woodland Notaro, died on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. after a very brief battle with lung cancer. She was 76. She was the wife of Joe Notaro, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Elizabeth Woodland. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children; LuAnn Siler of Selbyville, Bette Williams of Clarksville, Md.,, Jane Grabowski of Bellevue, NE, Joan Gonzales of Marlton, N.J,, and Andrea Brandt of Woodbine, Md., 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, her sister; Jean Woodland Morrison and her brother; Rob Woodland. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter; Gretchen Brandt. Ann was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1953 and worked many years as a Dental Hygienist. She spent 21 years in Ocean Pines, Md., where many of her best family memories were made. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, loved the beach, and cherished family. Above all, Ann loved her large family and her best times were sharing holidays, attending celebrations, and being together, often at the family home in Ocean Pines, Md. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love, where her family always came first. The family will be receiving visitors at Burbage Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 27,2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Life will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Ocean Pines, Md., on Wednesday, April 28,2010 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Ann's precious granddaughter Gretchen to, Gretchen Brandt Character Award, Community Foundation of Carroll County, 255 Clifton Boulevard, Suite 313, Westminster, MD 21157. Arrangements are in the care of Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
