Ann M. Dickerson

SMYRNA - Ann M. Dickerson passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018.
Mrs. Dickerson was born on May 15, 1927 in Milford, the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred McCullough.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Delaware State College in 1971 and began her career as a Teacher in the Smyrna School District, retiring in 1991.
Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. She enjoyed her family, particularly spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Arthur Dickerson; her sons, David and Larry Dickerson; and six siblings.
Ann is survived by her children, Donna Speed, Joanne Corso (Stephen), Margie Schuman, Caleb Dickerson, Donald Dickerson (Robin), Kenneth Dickerson (Debbie), and Barry Dickerson (Robin); her daughter-in-law, Barbara Dickerson; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan, Kristy, Brandon, Jeffrey, Suzanne, Paige, and Graeme; 14 great grandchildren; her sister, Irma Prettyman; and her brother, James McCullough (Edie).
A private funeral and burial will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
Memorial donations in Ann's memory may be sent to Cadia Capitol Healthcare, notate "Resident's Activity Fund" in the memo line at 1225 Walker Road, Dover, Delaware 19904.
