Angelo D. Lombardo, 74

HARRINGTON - Angelo D. Lombardo of Harrington died peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side, on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, after a long illness. He was 74.

He was born in Lyndhurst, N.J., to the late Francesco and Lena Lombardo.

After school he served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953.

He retired in 1992 after a 25-year career with Citibank as a program analyst.

He will be remembered as a beloved husband, best friend and confidant. He has left this world with a great hole in it, but many lives were enriched by his presence.

He was a friend to many, respected by his co-workers and was a man with a strong faith, who always practiced Christian acts throughout his life. Angelo had a great sense of humor and his laughter was contagious.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Franklin Lombardo, who died on Oct. 19, 2007.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Elizabeth A. Lombardo; two sons, Christopher and Michael Angelo Lombardo of Las Vegas, Nev.; three daughters Linda Demasey of Nevada, Zena Teich of East Islip, N.Y., and Lenore C. Lombardo of Milford; three sisters Theresa C. Monroe of Toms River, N.J., Gloria A. Lombardo of Lakewood, N.J., and Eleanor Cutaia of Staten Island, N.Y.; and grandchildren Dennis, Yvonne, Matthew, Marcel, Priscilla, Christopher and Dana.
