BERLIN - Angelene Kelly Hobbs, died Feb. 15, 2014 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in Lexington, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Frank Kelly, Sr. and Mary Alley Anderson Kelly. Mrs. Hobbs had graduated from Delaware Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, and served 48 years as a registered nurse. She retired from Lake Forest School District where she was employed as a school nurse from 1970 until 1989. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Harrington, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 69, Centreville, Md. Passionate about horses, she and her husband owned and raised Standard Bred horses all of their lives. She was also an accomplished seamstress and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hobbs in 2005; sister, Emma Cunningham; and a brother, Frank Kelly Jr. Surviving is her son, Michael K. Lawson and his wife Mary Anne; grandchildren, Michael K. Lawson, Jr. and Courtney Frances; a brother, Ward Herman "Buddy" Kelly and his wife Leora of Dover; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her devoted caregiver, Jaria N. Bostic. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington, DE. Rev.
