Alice L. Fry, 72 GRANBY, Conn. - Alice L. Fry, formerly of Granby and Stratford, beloved wife of Joseph A. Fry for 53 years, died peacefully Sunday, July 6, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was 72. She was born April 4, 1936, in Brattleboro, Vt., to the late Alton and Lorraine (Hoag) Cusick. Alice was a member of The First Congregational Church of Granby and served on the Women's Society. In addition, she was a past member of the Lordship Father's Club in Stratford. Alice enjoyed knitting, ceramics, crocheting and cooking (best known for her eggplant and meatballs). In addition her husband, she leaves son, Edward J. Fry and his fiancée Laurie Andretta of Pittsfield, Mass.; her daughter, Nancy A. Mierzejewski and her husband James of Milford, Del.; son, Robert A. Fry and his wife Linda of Lincoln, Del.; 11 grandchildren, Kate, J.T., Lindsay, Nancy, Lorraine, Nick, Barbara, Ricky, Taylor, Logan, and Mark; a brother, James Cusick and his wife Elaine of Mesa, Ariz.; and a sister, Muriel Russell and her husband Don of Branford. Services will be private. Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Disease Foundation, 27 Allendale Drive, North Haven, CT 06473; or McLean Home, 75 Great Pond Road, Simsbury, CT 06070.
