Alice K. Perry, 86

SEAFORD - Alice K. Perry, of Seaford, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 86.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1921, in Choptank, Md., near Preston, Md., the daughter of the late Charlie V. Kenton and Matilda Emma Lubba Kenton.

Her husband, Robert D. Perry, died on Dec. 10. 1990

Mrs. Perry was born and raised in Maryland and lived in Cambridge, Md., for many years before moving to Seaford.

During her life she worked as a seamstress, last working for Rob-Roy in Cambridge before retiring in 1974.

Mrs. Perry was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford, was a member of WPS in Seaford, was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1460 in Cambridge and was also a member of American Legion Post 87 in Cambridge.

A brother, David Kenton, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Larry Merrick and his wife Lyle Ann of Bridgeville; a granddaughter, Robin M. Peterson, and a great-grandson, Davey D. Peterson, both of Bridgeville; two brothers, Charles Kenton of Preston, and Franklin Kenton of Laurel; four sisters, Irene Chambers of Preston, Audrey Mae Willoughby of Seaford, Betty Lou Lare of Federalsburg, Md., and Wanda North of Henderson, Md.; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services for her will be at noon Monday in Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., in Federalsburg, with Pastor Edwin Thress officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-noon Monday.

Interment will follow at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
