DAGSBORO - Alice B. Simpler, of Dagsboro, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her home. She was 84.
She was a member of the St. George's United Methodist Church, Clarksville.
Alice loved farming, shopping and family dinners.
She was a very easygoing lady. She always had a smile no matter what.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Annie Layton Hudson; her husband, Elmer Linford Simpler Sr. in 1993; a son, Elmer Linford Simpler Jr. in 1990; a daughter, Ethelyn Ann Mitchell in 2001; and sister, Ethelyn Hudson Derickson.
She is survived by a son, Edgar A. Simpler of Dagsboro; granddaughter, Penny Smith and husband Steven of Millsboro; two great-grandchildren, Journey and Destiny Smith; special friend and caregiver, Terry Cox; and close friend, Lois Dolby.
Services will be noon Wednesday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior.
The Rev. Mike Hurley will officiate.
Interment will be in St. George's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Clarksville.
