Albert Marrocco, 71

MAGNOLIA - Albert Marrocco, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in the Veterans Hospital, Elsmere. He was 71.

He was born on April 6, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Alfanso and Filomena (Loadato) Marrocco.

Albert served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.

He had worked as a diesel machinist for Aerospace.

Albert enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica, and listening to country music.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Marrocco; a son, Albert Marrocco Jr. and his wife Susan of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; a daughter, Debbie Stern and her husband Jeff of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Marie; a brother-in-law, Ronald Pierman of Camden; mother-in-law, Blanche Pierman; and grandchildren, Crystal and Jamie.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a veterans organization of your choice.
