MILFORD – Addie E. Sams passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Addie was born in Milford, daughter of the late William and Tippy (Willey) Webb. She grew up in Georgetown and had lived in Milford for the past 16 years. Addie had worked as a daycare teacher in Milford, past manager of PK in Laurel and most recently worked in the housekeeping department for Manor House in Seaford. Addie loved NASCAR, was an avid football fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed collecting Noah's Ark pieces. In addition to her parents, Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sams. She is survived by four children, Deborah Staub of Milford, Terry Brown of Laurel, Raymond Greer Sams, II of Lincoln and Denise Lewis of Seaford; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Webb and Billy Webb; and one sister, Joe Bill Absher. In honor of Addie's wishes there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Addie's memory may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, De 19963. Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, Milford.
