Acquanetta Sheppard

DOVER - Acquanetta "Pam" "Quinnie" Sheppard passed away peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, with family close by, after a long-time struggle with illness including congestive heart disease. Acquanetta/Pam/Quinnie was born at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Md. to Lottie Green nee Fleet (Mclain), and Alfred Dewey Mclain.
She graduated from Darby Township High School and Cheney University, both located in Pennsylvania. She obtained her Master's degree from Bowie State College in Maryland. She was a special education teacher and supervisor in the Maryland education system prior to retiring. In her early life Acquanetta was known to family and friends as "Quinnie" and in her adult life as "Pam." She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, relative and teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Alford and Bobby McLain.
She was survived by her mother, Lottie Green; her daughter, Acquanetta Christal Sheppard; her son, Richard James Sheppard II; her brother, Andre Montez Mclain; her uncle, Martin Fallon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
